Did Not Our Hearts Burn!!!
Luke24:25 And he said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself
LUke 24:32 They said to each other, Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?
This revelation speaks so much of where I am at and where I believe our church is going. Jesus took the Disciples and went through all the prophets and showed them all the things concerning himself. Later the Disciples said “Did not our hearts burn within us!”
This is how the word of God is. When you begin reading the bible to find Jesus and all he has accomplished your heart burns. You realize how much he loves you and your heart literally burns to tell other people about the love he has for them. In my own life Reading the Bible has stopped being something I do because I’m supposed to and started being something I do because I want to. He is my Bread of Life!! He is YOUR Bread of Life!!
When you read the word quit reading it looking for things to change or things to do. Start looking for things that He did and your life will begin to change supernaturally. Let Christ do the supernatural.
Here is a good place to start and see Jesus concealed in the Old Testament.
Numbers 21
Read it and post the Jesus you see in this chapter.
Christ Love
I have this annoying passion for getting people a revelation about how much Christ loves them. Every-time I turn around I see people struggling with something they have or haven’t done and thinking that they need to do something to make it up to God. The truth is that Christ did it already. He knew you were going to mess up now and again and again. My entire life I’ve walked around as a christian thinking that what I do has everything to do with how Christ loves me.
I have a very beginning taste of what it means to live life. Jesus Christ above all else wants you to have a close personal relationship with him. To think about him, talk to him, cry to him, meditate on him. When you begin to realize how much he loves you, things in your life will start to fall into place. You will start to not care so much about what can I do to make God happy today, rather you will start sitting in his presence and spending time just because you get to. Then all the works will begin happening. You will feel so loved that when you see a person in need you won’t think twice about meeting it. You will have such a passion for how good he is you can’t help but tell everyone you see about it. Earthly circumstances won’t faze you. You will know just how BIG he is.
I don’t claim to be at this place yet but this is the place I know he’s taking me. I challenge you if for some reason your reading this to just let go and let God. Wake up and spend time Jesus the one who loves you more then anyone else. Don’t wake up and think about what you need to do to become a better person or christian but rather how much he loves you. Were reading a book in small group that has a great quote- “Law is you working, Grace is God working.”

Spinning and Reading..
Here is what I’m spinning and what I’m reading. Some good stuff I recommend all of it.
Celebrating Christmas…
In the past few weeks I have thought a lot about how we as Christian Americans celebrate Christmas and how it’s nearly impossible to keep our mind and motives on Christ. We get consumed with gifts, lights, music, parties, trees, egg nog, coffee etc. I have always loved Christmas and every year I get the same warm feeling when it comes around, but this year I want it to be even better. This year I want to keep Christ first and truly celebrate his birth. I want to concentrate on giving rather than receiving. I want my mind to be more on loving other people rather than what I’m getting for Christmas. When I put up my tree I want to look at the star on top and remember the star of bethlehem. I want to sing the Christmas songs in remembrance of him and not as just familiar melody’s and lyrics. I want to continually thank God that he has blessed me so much to live in a nation that prospers, and that I can worship him freely. I believe we can have an amazing Christmas if we learn this mindset. I love my family, and I love blessing them with gifts. I believe one way to show Christ how much we love him is to love the people around us. I challenge everyone to celebrate Christmas this year in that way.
The list…
Here it is folks. The thing that will get me to the next level as a bass player. Haha not really but It would be awesome.
